We have two programs at Del Oro in the summertime that run each week -
main camp and teen camp.
Main camp is for children ages 7-12. Main campers will participate in activities throughout the day such as swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, chapel, camp-wide games and competitions, free time, and campfire. Main camp has 6 girl cabins and 7 boy cabins broken up by age. Each cabin has 1 counselor and at least 1 support staff member.
Teen camp is for teenagers ages 13-16. Teen campers will participate in a much more outdoor focused schedule, and will take part in activities such as archery, the vertical playground, the zipline, hikes, rock wall, swimming, chapel, and campfires. Teen camp has 2 girl cabins and 2 boy cabins, each with 1 counselor.
Registration is completed through your local Salvation Army Corps.

2024 Pricing:
It costs $600 per camper to run camp, but thanks to our wonderful donors we only charge $350 per camper.
The price/cost of camp should never be a reason a child misses out on a week at camp! Scholarships are always available. Please contact your local Salvation Army Corps for more information.
Why we do what we do.
Salvation Army camps serve the total personal and spiritual needs of campers through a creative, healthful experience in an outdoor setting. Our goal is that every child walks away knowing and loving Christ a little more than they did before they came to camp. The spiritual aspect is expressed as an integral part of all activities, becoming a part of the total environment and atmosphere. The spiritual emphasis and the positive environment are at the heart of what we do.
